December Events
The GWA Student Council is participating in the annual canned food drive for the Walton County Empty Stocking Fund. Food boxes will be prepared for 375 needy families for the Christmas holidays. GWA is a valuable part of this endeavor. Please place your items in the barrels provided. The lower school homeroom and the middle school homeroom that collects the most cans will receive a pizza party. The high school student who turns in the most cans will receive a gift card (cans should be delivered to Mrs. Carson’s classroom).
*The deadline to submit the total number of cans your class collects is Thursday, December 6th.
*Winners will be announced on
Friday, December 7th.

Ice Cream Social

Come join us for an evening of
fun and tradition on Thursday night (8/23).
Let’s meet up in the
Nicholson Center (around 6:30)
for a sampling of ice cream and spirit wear. Then head to the football field and get a good seat to watch the pep rally
(it starts around 7:30).

please arrive by 6:00 to set up in the Nicholson

Happy Valentine’s Day!!
5th graders may bring Valentines to school on Wednesday for everybody in their homeroom class.
They may also pass out
Valentines to other students in other homerooms.
Permission slips are due Monday for the Jekyll Island field trip.
Payment needs to be made before
